For those who don't know Pippa's story.

2018 November

Created by Keith 4 years ago

Pippa is the youngest of my two daughters (forever 41) as Pippa died very suddenly in mid November 2018 of a catastrophic brain haemorrhage. Pippa has an only male child who Pippa devoted much of her life to and only started to build ambitions for herself once he was settled in at school for several years

Pippa as a single parent for the last couple of years she juggled her time by being a devoted, loving, caring mother, householder and a further education student to improve her life for herself and her son. Pippa's son is now living with his dad and they are doing ok with some support. On that devastating day I received a phone call from a paramedic saying they were with Pippa and she 'was very poorly ' and they were rushing her to A&E as it took us about an hour to get there.

Pippa was on 'life support' and we were told that was 'no hope of any recovery after the 'brain stem tests. Pippa had left instuctions to be an Organ and tissue donor if anything happened to her. When we were asked the question ? by the doctors Pippa's prior consent made our decision easier for us. Thus, 'please share your wishes' with your family. Many hours and tears later Pippa gave the 'gift of life' to help several other people and became 'a life saving and life enhancing hero'.

We have received some feed back from The NHS and Pippas recipients which has made our devastation a 'little softer' round the edges although nothing will ever fill the huge hole that Pippa has left and nor do we want it to. As a tribute to Pippa the NHS have placed a wall mount in the corridor next to the chapel at PRESTON ROYAL HOSPITALS. Pippa will always be truly loved and missed every day. To continue Pippa's legacy of Organ & Tissue donation I have now become an NHS 'Organ& Tissue Donation Ambasssdor'  "Thank You" for reading this. Keith Pippa's dad 💖🌈💖xxx.
